Yesterday Kat and I got to sit down and interview Rob Zombie and words cannot explain how inspired we both were after talking to him. Even just being in the presence of someone so talented and strange was absolutely incredible. One of my first "rock music" memories was sitting in front of the TV with my sisters and watching the "Dragula" music video on MTV. I was SO confused and weirded out but it was the coolest thing I had ever seen at 6 years old. Here I am at 22 taking live photos and talking to that same guy I saw rocking out on TV. So many of his words really stuck with me - like how once you realize that fitting in with everyone else is not something you want to do you begin to develop your own "weirdo personality" and that fosters creativity.
Those 10 minutes we spent talking to him did more than he'll ever know. I'm going to keep on keepin' on and reaching for the stars. Those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who usually do.
