Last week I got the killer opportunity to assist one of my favorite photographers - Chad Lee with a day long shoot for a really rad clothing line called Mutt Merch. The line has some rockin' shirts for dogs and their owners and all you dog and music lovers are gonna get shit once you see what they have in store! Haha! Anyway, it was a great day filled with music, good people, cute dogs and good vibes all around. It's been awesome being in Nashville and meeting so many new talented and kick ass people!
Chad asked me to take photos of him with his dogs, Beefy and Tessa, for their Mutt Merch photo and man, that was like a total "holyfuckholyshitthisfuckinrules" moment. I've looked up to Chad Lee and his photography since I started shooting concerts. This guy has been all over capturing some of my favorite photos of my favorite artists/bands - he's pretty much a fuckin' bad ass. I was lucky enough to meet and work with him at Ride For Dime - Chicago back in July and when I moved to Nashville I started seeing him around town a lot. After finally getting the chance to hang and get to know each others stories he's become even more of an inspiration to me. He's proof that no matter what happens in life if you keep on going and doing what you love everything will always work out! It's a really great feeling when someone you've always looked up to proves to be an amazing person just as much as he is an artist. I'm truly feeling lucky to have become such great friends over the past month.
Thanks for letting me take your photos, Chad and thank you for being a humble, real fuckin dude! Check out his work here - www.chadleephotography.com
Here are some behind the scene photos of Mutt Merch! The 2 awesome masterminds behind the line are Philip Shouse and Raquel Wynn. I'll update and post links and more info once it's released so stay tuned, rockers!
I was editing photos of the Gojira and Mastodon show at Marathon Music Works and I came across these photos...
Is this his first metal show? Does he not like crowd surfers? Is he scared? Is he worried? Does the guy next to him smell? Was he joking and just posing for me? Does he have a to poo? Do I have to poo? Who is he? Where ever you may be, dude in the front row, thanks for making my day.
I will find you one day. My hero. The man. The Legend.
While you're here enjoy what was going on behind me on stage - Gojira!
